Outfit of The Day, Kind of..

Hey Everyone!

So this is the outfit that i was going to wear today, but it was WAY too cold to wear it without a sweater and it would look funny with a sweater so i just ended up wearing something else...But i think i am going to wear it tomorrow to school or/and the school basketball game that i am going to tomorrow :)

P.S: Thankyou for following! We have 45 followers and i am just so happy! my goal was to have 50 by the end of June, but i will hopefully have 60+ by then. Trends

It's been a few months, full of boy drama ending in a breakup, 16 degree weather, a stalker, shopping, holidays, and family, just sooo much! Well there are some new (or not so new) trends that I ADORE, so here I go:

Deep Purple Nails:

I don't have a 6th period for school, so one day while everyone else was in class, I walked to a local beauty store and bought OPI's Lincoln Park after Dark. It is super flattering for every skin color and can definitely make any look edgier. The actual color is a bit darker than pictured.

Legging Jeans:

I found these one day while shopping at one of my favorite stores, Abercrombie Kids. I cannot go back to jeans. They instantly make you look slimmer. I can't even count how many people have loved my pants. Got a bit of a winter pudge/love handles? These make love handles disappear! I already have them in dark grey and navy, and today I just ordered new ones of dark grey and navy because I wear them sooo much! They're on sale now for $29.90!

Sequins:

The skirt is from Abercrombie and Fitch, and I have been coveting it for some time now. I'm quite disappointed that I didn't get it for Christmas. The tank is Miken, sold at Pacsun. I recently discovered that not all of you will know what Pacsun is, seeing that it is only sold here, near the Pacific (aren't I a smarty?), but Pacsun has shopping online available.

So many of you may remember that blog contest we had awhile back. Well to be honest i slightly forgot about it. Sorry :(

Even though she has decided to temp. stop blogging untill next summer, i still wanted to post this because i still think that she deserves it!

how did you choose the name TheHuts for your blog?

theHuts are an inside joke with a group of friends I have. We went on a trip to Washington DC in 8th grade, and one laugh led to another and all of a sudden we had theHuts! When I started my blog that was the first name that popped in my mind. I just laughed, and typed it in.

when did you start your blog?

I started in April of 2009.

were you always into fashion?No, I was definitely not! In fourth grade I remember I had these pants that zipped off into shorts and I always wore t-shirts. It wasn't until 8th grade that I really cared about what I looked like. Once I tried to get dressed in the morning, I joined teen vogue, and from there the world of fashion, and loved it. It's so free, no rules, it was unique.

what are some of your other hobbies besides fashion/blogging?

School pretty much takes up my life, but I do run Track and Cross Country.

what is your favorite item of clothing and why?

I love sweaters/cardigans/jackets. To me they can pull an outfit together, and finish it off. I own a lot of them!

do you have any advice for people who want to start a succesful blog?

Blogging takes a lot of effort, so make sure you have time. I noticed the blogs that get readers are the ones that update on a regular basis. When blogging, make sure you write what you like, not what you think people want to hear. Basically, just be yourself!
